I really loved this story. So many twists and turns. The situations were true to life. Situations that people really go through. Mistakes that we make and then try to learn from. I highly recommend Karleen’s Green Stone Ring. Get your tissues. Looking forward to book 2 of Forever Friends. Goodreads. 5 stars

“Green Stone Ring” by Karleen Staible is definitely my kind of book. I adore the whole “real life” drama, situations, and complications in romantic lives that cause imbalance in current life and how it shifts/tests relationships and the tough choices people must make. While this is admittedly a familiar trope in literature, I thought Staible did a great job of making the storyline feel fresh and original, and best of all, completely believable. This is so much more than just a “romance” story – it is a story of a life, and making decisions (romantically) that aren’t the best, but the reasons why shows the character’s humanity and their flaws… Gini and Franco are tested as is both their relationships with Ric, and what Gini does some people may not agree with, but she is human. There are some shocking twists, some unexpected revelations that complicate things further for the trio (Gini, Franco, Ric). Some very sad moments as well, and by the end I really didn’t know what to expect next. No one is safe from being hurt, it seems. 5 Stars
