Book 2 Forever Friends-Life Changer eBook

$1.99

An emotionally charged novel
Life Changer is a “real life” drama that tests relationships.
Ric and Franco struggle to get their lives back on track after Gini’s tragedy and the death of their children. Although their decisions aren’t the best and will have far-reaching consequences, the characters’ humanity shines through.
New Haven Medical Center is the main setting for book two. Two more major characters are introduced, Dr. Robert Young and nurse Debbie Pierce. As Gini clings to life, her long-term prognosis uncertain, these two caring professionals believe in her and help her realize there is a world outside of her damaged brain. It’s not an easy journey for any of them. No one is safe from being hurt, it seems.
Karleen Staible tells this addicting, multi-layered story with well-developed plot lines (and twists) and great characters and still manages to make romance feel fresh and surprising.

  1. Marcella

This is the third book now I’ve read from Karleen Staible, and I seem to love each one more and more! “Life Changer” is the second installment on the “Forever Friends” series (The first one is “Green Stone Ring”) and this one carries on where that one leaves off, dealing with the tragedy and the aftermath of what happened to Gini and her accident. She is in the hospital and faces a long, difficult recovery and little hope for a normal life. But love is strong, as is friendship and compassion. We witness a ‘miracle’ but one that comes at a price. What I really love about Ms. Staible’s books is that she goes beneath the surface of stories and explores more complex elements of the human condition in a way that makes it feel more real. — So this aspect helped to shed some light on a topic that I think isn’t really discussed, especially in ‘romance’, and it is handled in a very real way. Also appreciated the inclusion of a lesbian relationship and her curiosity in finding her sexuality. 5 Stars
